What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Contact forms
We do use contact forms on our website aimed at collecting only the relevant information in order for us to handle your enquiry. We do require you to agree to our terms and conditions and privacy policy though we do provide alternative contact details if you wish to contact us directly away from the website. We only collect the information that you enter into the contact form and keep them as long as required to handle your enquiry.

We, by default don’t create user accounts and don’t operate any type of forum on the website.

The only form of analytics we use on the website are Google Analytics. This is to help us deliver the best possible experience and highlight potential problems on the website.
Who we share your data with
By default, we do not share your information with any third parties. If there comes an instance where we need to, we would ask your permission first.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
If you undertake our services, we are required by law to retain invoice data for 6 years after a contract has ended. Once the personal data is no longer needed, we will destroy it securely.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Children and vulnerable adults
In some instances, people will share a person’s emergency epilepsy protocol with us. If we collect any personal information from our customers regarding under 18’s or vulnerable adults, we would need permission from a parent, legal guardian or registered care manger to do so. It’s important to re-iterate that no personal information about under 18’s or vulnerable adults is shared with any third parties.

We protect your information on the website by using SSL to encrypt any information transmitted between our website and any other device. This means any information entered via our contact form is not sent in clear text and emails us directly.
